Tournament Had Humble Beginnings
Mar 26, 2009, 10:16 pm
In 1990, the first official golf tournament was held as a fun event for staff and friends of Huronia Hockey Camp. Naturally, the event was held at Pike Lake Golf Course on Thursday July 9 with 32 golfers participating.

(see Photo Gallery for picture of the 1990 Champions)

In 1989, a group of friends gathered in August for a fun round of golf at Foxwood Golf Course near Baden, followed by a BBQ at the Thompson residence in Waterloo. Foursomes were selected by a cut of the cards and seven teams hit the links. Two teams were tied at 68 (-4) and a putting playoff was held.
